SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT

“While he was praying, his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white.”  Well, that would certainly get your attention, wouldn’t it.  You join your dear friend and mentor, Jesus, as he goes up a mountain to pray.  He has often gone apart to pray – up a mountain, into the desert – but it’s always been alone.  This time, he has invited you, and two other of his closest companions, to join him.  And then, like Moses up on Mount Sinai, he begins to glow and shine. Knighthood

When a man is ready to join the Knights of Columbus, a short application is filled out.  The next step is taking his first of four degrees, Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.  After the first degree he is an official Knight in the order.  All four degrees at this time can be taken either online or in person.

PALM SUNDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION AND HOLY WEEK

“Hosanna!  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!  Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is to come!  Hosanna in the highest!”  (Mk 11:9b-10).  On Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion, we are called to join with our Lord, Jesus Christ, as he makes a triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and then suffers derision and mockery, scourging and finally crucifixion because he comes to offer a new way of life and claims to be who he truly is – the Son of God.  This week […]
